It shook me up too, even though I'm a Val, John and Peter boy. Whenever a BP presenter, from whichever era, dies - and I felt exactly the same way about Michael Sundin and Christopher Trace -it's like losing a little bit of your own childhood.
I've read three different reports on this, placing Ms Keating as 40, 41 and 42 respectively.
Regardless, it's sobering reading. Any death is, I suspect, but particularly when it's someone whose job was basically to be bouncy and full of life, and to encourage that in others.

Posted by Nigel on 14 April, 2004 at 10:12 PMI'm more of a Lesley Judd, Purves and Noakes but I knew of her work. It is, indeed, sad and a wake-up call.
Posted by Darren on 14 April, 2004 at 11:11 PMThanks Nigel - that's it exactly.
Posted by Blue Witch on 15 April, 2004 at 7:17 AMVery sad, and as said, a wake up call. As Mrs Planarchy also said "She's exactly the same age as me."

DOB: 5th October 1963.
So, 40. Younger than me. Even worse.
But, that link (from the BBC), having given her date of birth then says she is 42. Twice.
Posted by Blue Witch on 15 April, 2004 at 11:18 AMHmmmm.... that date's changed.
