You've picked the best broadband available for service, better than my NThell anyhow. Pipex have been around a bloody long time over here, I think along with Demon and some other company from Cambridge (that I can't remember their name) are the originl big three from the dawn of the internet over here.
Some people have a small problem setting Pipex up, if you do I know a man who can, he's very good at that sort of thing so give me a shout and I'll ask him to help.

I'm with Pipex and it's been brilliant.
They sent me a personalised email once becuase there was going to be a one minute outage at 2am due to BT making a change on my local exchange.
I've had one technical problem in the year I've been with them and their tech support were easy to get through to and solved the problem.
tereus - thanks - if my Little Computer Man can't sort it (which he should be able to as he uses them, recommended them, and is a "CompTIA A+ Certified Professional" (apparently, whatever that means)) I'll shout.
Pob - knowing that you and Ian both use them, when you both work in the IT industry, was a good recommendation. I rang the customer support line to check them out - I got straight through, and they were nice to me. The fact that the technical support line isn't a premium rate nubmer was a major plus.

You won't go far wrong with Pipex - I have had fantastic service from them.
Cable, here? You must be joking! It'll *never* happen!!
Mind you, that's what one of BT's senior customer service managers told me about broadband for places more than 6km from the exchange, like us, just 18 months ago.

Oh dear. Last week I signed on to BT Broadband, and, apparently, I was "activated" at 7.30 this morning. No-one who knows me has ever dared to "activate" me at that time in the morning before, so I shall let you know how it works out.

can you get pipex through an NTL telephone socket?
Posted by dave on 24 September, 2004 at 4:17 PMIt's NTL via a BT line, not cable dave.
