Good to see you sticking it out at art class. I'm in for another term but the enjoyment has waned since the Christmas break. I'm not sure if the break has caused it, or that I just feel stressed with work at the minute. It might help if the tutor tried something different other than landscapes with trees. last night was a bit better as he chose to do a mountain scene, which he claimed he steered clear of normally as he didn't like doing mountains. I suppose that's why we end up doing loads of trees, the tutor likes doing them. My attempts have gone backwards since Christas, maybe I should just do my own thing rather than follow what he tris to get us to do, which I always feel stiffls what little creativity I have.

Nice:D

140lbs! DOesn't it break the easel?

Yeees NiC...

For anyone who doesn't know, the weight of watercolour paper refers to how much a ream (500 sheets) of 22"x30" paper weighs.

Therefore, 500 sheets of my paper weigh 140lbs. Weights in grammes are now appearing too - which is confusing.

BW: 300gsm paper is the same as 140lbs paper. That's about all you need to know for watercolour at least.

If my calculation is correct then each sheet would weigh 4.48 ounces. That is heavy paper.

The sky is very nice in your picture.

I like the sky too.
