Comments: Signs that I've got beyond the need to engage in the FOTCR™ traditions: Part 8
i don't want to see these bah humbug posts next FOTCR! i know you are into recycling but that would be ridiculous.
despite coming across as quite anti-christmas it seems as if the coven will be one of the warmest, calmest, festive places this yule. we'll be round about 6pm on the 24th, our scarves tied weirdly and half of argos in a sack.
Greg Lake's "I believe in Father FOTCR™" is much better.
Oh... I did that post last year, didn't I? Or was it the year before? You know you've been blogging too long when...

They probably haven't gone for one of those new fangled extended alcohol licence. Same as my supermarket. They are opening "early" at 8am all this week which is when their alcohol licence starts.
dave - sorry dear, I already have/had those. One still exists, the other went down the last car boot. I'll leave you to decide which... :)

ROFL!
We like the 'medley crumphole' idea...

I did the supermarket run this afternoon, after bringing E back from the hospital.
Never again. Next year I'm ordering everything in advance and will get someone to deliver it. And if I'm going to continue attempting to get as much free range/organic as possible I need to start saving earlier next year as well. Someone please remind me to call the man about the allotment!
Yup, they didn't apply for an extended license. Simple as that.

I was stunned to find so many folk apparently doing all their FOTCR shopping yesterday lunchtime when I poped in for a few things. Some were even audibly compiling their menus for the whole period as they trudged round Sainsburys....
Did all our food shopping for Christmas online at Riverford Organics. Total time spent: 15 minutes tops last week. Delivered to my door yesterday lunchtime. What need have I for your paltry queues? Or even poultry queues? (The Boff had to apparently pop into Darts Farm Shop yesterday pm for something and reported lines around the car park to pick up the festive turkeyè; which he smugly waltzed past, as he was not buying turkey). *lovingly strokes Creedy Farm ducks in fridge*

Posted by Alan on 23 December, 2005 at 12:41 PMdave - sorry to disappoiint, but there are at least 2 more bah humbug posts still to come.... ;)
MaMA - practising for FOTCR™ Eve chez toi I see ;)
Alan - thank you, and to you.
Posted by Blue Witch on 23 December, 2005 at 1:23 PMOi! Stop that!
Posted by e on 23 December, 2005 at 1:27 PMNot likely :)
There was a song, wasn't there, it went, "MaMA, we're all cray-z-y now..." Too tired to remember who sung it... 70s...
Posted by Blue Witch on 23 December, 2005 at 1:29 PMSlade I think... I can hear a voice in my head that sounds like Noddy Holder's...
Posted by Blue Witch on 23 December, 2005 at 1:32 PMShut!up! Why are you trying to infect us all with rotten Christmas one-hit wonder bands?? *Sticks fingers in ears and frantically hums funeral march*
Posted by e on 23 December, 2005 at 1:35 PMThat'll be this one then.
Posted by e on 23 December, 2005 at 1:38 PMMaMA - Slade *weren't* a one-hit wonder band, and that song wasn't the annoying one that now adorns shops every year. I loved Slade I did.
Posted by Blue Witch on 23 December, 2005 at 1:39 PMRather than the one I now have stuck in my head.

Posted by Kat on 23 December, 2005 at 1:58 PMAs my parents taught me to say, a medley crumphole one and all.
And keep the bah-humbug coming - is most refreshing.
Also the MaMA. *smirks*
