I loved them ALL ...Zebedee meant time for bed though...I think Erm was my favourite some days and Dougal others..and Dylan was just the best. It was Emma Thomson's father wasnt it?

Has to be Dougal.
Number One Son - as a toddler - used to crawl rapidly around slobbering and was thus (nick)named after the dog.
And my best mate was re-christened Florence by the lads at the brewery because of his very long, curly hair.
Alas, I'm a little too young to have anything but a vague memory of watching the Magic Roundabout. I know (most of) the characters but not well enough to have ever had a favourite.

Brian was my favourite. And I had a soft spot for Ermintrude too. I liked the way the flower she was eating moved from side to side.
brian was my favourite. he was obviously a gay snail as he had all the best witty one-liners.
i think dougal may have been gay too as he had that mid 40's grumpy-old-gay-man manner (like me lately!).
Dougal. I had a toy Dougal and was too young to care about anything else, really.
I wonder what happened to the toy Dougal....
One of my friends at uni changed his name from David to Zebedee. Well, more accurately, he kept David for a middle name, but expected everyone to call him Zebedee. I'm not sure how that worked out for him once he started applying for jobs. He flirted with the idea of changing to Zebedee Boing Boing, but stopped short of that. THank God.
I like Zebedee and Dougal and Ermintrude and Brian the Snail.
I had a Magic roundabout lampshade when I was little. Now I have a Brian the Snail from Hamleys and a Zebedee that I made myself from a Persil liquid ball when I was a student.

Florence. I had a toy Dougal as well. I seem to remember giving him a shave.

Ermintrude, dear heart, but Dylan comes a close second man.
Dougal, and brian, and florence. I liked zebedee but not his moustache. They were all good. Don't make em like that anymore.
I refused to go see the film - did you?

That film has absolutely nothing to do with the old Magic ROundabout of course. It was just a way of people with no new ideas trying to make a fast buck from nostalgia. I shall never watch it!

Like err... Dylan the rabbit, man. Seemed to be the only sensible one in the place.
And he had a geetar.
I also had a soft spot for Ermintrude and Brian as I thought it was such a wonderfully silly name (I didn't know any real life Brians!).

I had no idea that Dougal was De Gaulle.

my Dad wanted to call ME Zebedee, no SERIOUSLY.
Lucky for me my mother disuaded him.
Perhaps I'd have been completely different if I'd been Zebedee ....
I liked Florence.
Posted by verity74 on 14 September, 2007 at 4:36 PMIt's a toss up between Zebedee and Dougal, and always was.
