Who's up for Blue String Pudding?

Hope the Iron Chicken has a good supply of best-quality nuts and bolts?

Looking forward to Michael Palin narrating the new series...

That's amazing. Mr BW's work? A chicken connection (not sure if I posted it before) http://thebloggess.com/2011/06/and-thats-why-you-should-learn-to-pick-your-battles/

So the new series of The Clangers will be bigger? Let's hope it will be at least as good as the original.

Stunning, is Mr BW taking orders yet?

Posted by Amber on 22 September, 2014 at 3:54 PM

That is brilliant.

It was all BW's fault. She bought me a 'make your own clanger' book last Xmas which included instructions to make an Iron chicken out of lolly sticks and straws.
Being me, I scaled it up a little, well actually quite a lot, and decided to make it from the real thing, iron.
Commissions taken, but I have a feeling that it will need to close to a grand to cover costs. Form a queue and have your deposits ready please.
Meanwhile I have my first commission for a very small piece of blacksmithing and woodwork but it is a start.
Mr BW

Just had another thought - what about a soup dragon next? You could use all sorts of effects on the scales......

Posted by Sue on 22 September, 2014 at 9:29 PM

The only Soup Dragon round here is me... I've recently discovered a fantastic recipe for soup that takes five minutes to prepare (provided you have a food processor) and is fat-free, low-calorie and one of the best soups I've ever tasted/made. I shall post it soon.

Oh - and - I should say that there are two pieces of blacksmithing there - the bottom one is my new outdoor table, which includes an old tractor gear (mosaic top still to be added), and the top one is the Iron Chicken. Purpose unknown. Scares cats, mind...

Recipe for soup. Open tin and pour into bowl and heat in microwave

Debster, you're a woman after my own heart! (Unless you luck out at yellow sticker time at "the shop that shall not be named" and get 2 carrier bags of veggies for less than a pound.)

BW, I'm sure it's past time for kitty pictures...........just ask Debster ;-)

Yes!

I use the slimming woild veg soup recipe which involves various veg, tomatoes, baked beans & condiments plus water. Filling, tasty, cheap & fat free. I chuck in various fish / offcuts for added goodness.
Now the weather's changed it may be time to get the big pot out & make some as well as address the expanding waistline!
