Update: while round at our elderly neighbour's changing the hall light bulb that had just blown, Mr BW used the numbers he extracted this morning from the hospital that had discharged our neighbour, to ring district nurse HQ to express his dissatisfaction. Apparently they will now call 'in a couple of days'. And otehrwise - ring 111 or 999.

What a fantastically caring medical service we have in this area.

Is there a local social services team that provides support at home? I can sympathise because I was the MH single point of access clinician triaging calls yesterday. I spent two hours chasing up & liaising with local services for an elderly chap. He did not require MH services but I wanted to ensure physical health care serveices all in place. Happily I found his excellent keyworker at the hospital who had put everything needed in place for him. GP had referred (dumped his problem) with us in MH services for some strange reason! I hope your neighbour is well & you quickly stir local services into action.
