Comments: Less Blue but much happier

Keep the faith, BW! Yes, local politics can be fun sometimes - one of my wife's friends became elected an Alderman recently. There are those among us who think similarly and are willing to serve in that capacity to do what needs to be done. Makes me feel like I should get more involved, but I don't have the drive, eloquence or diplomacy needed. Hell, I barely have public decency!

19 lost seats. I'm still smiling.

And yes Scoakat, I'd lack the patience as well as diplomacy... but luckily Mr BW doesn't, so I see every chance of getting some Local things supported and taken forward at District level.

The next few weeks and months will be interesting for sure :)

13 lost seats down here and loss of control too. Heh-heh, heh

...and a planarchist (and a few other like minded good folk) on the parish council hoping to be able to some small sensible things in our little corner.

Congratulations, BW!

Round these parts (inner city) such people as did vote seem to have done so more on party lines, though the Blue and Orange parties are still tied on the City Council.
As a Climate Disaster (or something) was declared locally before all the hoo-ha started, I wish a few more Greens had gotten in. Goodness knows we need people to take the Environment seriously, particularly in an over populated, traffic-clogged city surrounded by sea, where the rising tide comes in ever higher!

Same thing happened in true blue Herefordshire!
