Comments: Of broadband, greens, and death

When we moved here in July 1986, I left the beautiful kitchen garden that I'd planted in the spring. I picked what was ready to eat, of course, but I just gave away the rest. It was one of the kindest things I've ever done, especially as they probably didn't realise that. In your case, of course, it would all have gone to waste if you hadn't picked it. Right time of year,as you can sow now, if your kitchen garden isn't a tip.

Our kitchen garden is currently a lawn, or a field, depending on whether we go the 'rent a bit of field for hugely more than the going rate' option. But the soil is great under the grass, Mr BW discovered when digging the hen hole today.

I gave up with veg and just have apples, raspberries and blackcurrants. And weeds, which I shall post to you tomorrow morning so keep an eye out for Postman Pat from Thursday. They seem to thrive on a diet of roundup.

All this mention of Covens Nord und Süd reminds me too much of the Aldi brothers of supermarket fame!

Debster - thanks!

Tim - yes, exactly, that was where I got the idea from... actually it was an idea carried over from 3 years ago, at the time of the first attempt at moving up here, which all fell apart (and that house is now off the market, after falling through another twice, but is the reason we found this place, which is much, much, much better for us).

Told by DG that you had been having adventures so have spent ages this morning looking through loads of back posts.
Well doe both of you. Keep well.

DGD - thank you. Adventures, yes, that's one way - but a good way - of putting it! Hope you're keeping well too.
