Comments: Of gardening, crafts, and isolation

Amazon Prime is taking two days instead of one at present. It's remarkably fast in the circumstances. A garden parasol fell apart and I ordered a new one yesterday - hardly urgent, but I had an email to say it was despatched today for delivery tomorrow.

I walked into town yesterday to post letters and a birthday card and had shouted conversations with friends going for walks, from the other side of the road. It was very friendly and it's peculiar that crossing the road to avoid people has become natural and polite so quickly. I'm astonished that there isn't a network of helpers in your rural areas. Perhaps people just know whom to ask if they need a hand.

"Chitting" - there's a verb not in everyday use!
Amazon Prime is taking a week in Norfolk at the moment.
