Comments: Friday Update - and a Friday Question

I'm happy you enjoy your incinerator, sorry it was poor weather for it. I certainly understand having a few drinks and watching the fire! And the helicopter visit sounds interesting, I'm sure you and the fire did provide them some fun.

Also happy things have looked up with the renovations, I hope the trend continues for you. Did you get your old window back?

As part of the Northumbrian resistance and setting the signal fire did you receive the appropriate and timely delivery from the helicopter?
A few foil wrapped spuds and snorkers in the fire to go with the wine sounds nice!

The old window came back, thanks Scoakat.

What was the helicopter meant to deliver delcatto? The fire was so hot that it would have killed any food instantly. It even burnt the plaster that ended up in it! Both bottom and top of the incinerator are distorted and no longer fit together. I've never managed that before.

I'm pretty sure that's a bird's nest Witchy. ;)

You're welcome.

At least you've found some workmen. I've called every joiner in a 10 mile radius to have a stud wall erected and can't get a single one to even contemplate it until 2021. I'm currently on my fourth day of watching YouTube videos on how to do it yourself.
Could you draft me a letter of complaint to send to all the busy joiners explaining why it's unacceptable to not do my work next week?

Dave - I'd suggest looking for a plasterer (or a small general builder) to put up a stud wall, not a joiner (most I suspect would be insulted by being asked to do what is really a non-wood job, which may be why they are saying 2021). Or DIY (really easy with bits of timber, a few nails and some sheets of plasterboard) then get a plasterer in to skim it (that's the hard part).

I agree with Nic. Definitely a bird's nest.
