The assumption that everyone has a smartphone is starting to really annoy me. Recently Sainsburys offered me £3 off a £20 shop - download the offer to the app! But I haven't got a smartphone. Also, couldn't print barcode to hand over at the till. At least, when I phoned to point this out, the nice gentleman credited me £3 worth of Nectar points.

Starling Bank is going the other way! From smartphone app only, it has just developed a desktop website. The phone app is quite useful however - you can pay in a cheque simply by photographing it.

Very little said about washing masks but the deluge of conflicting nonsense pumped out by the media and this is absent.
With the amount of disposable masks we use in our team and multiply that across the country, then the world...A disposable mask mountain.

The other bit that amused* me was about Eseex all being made Tier Two, except for Thurrock and [somewhere else] because they were unitary authorities. Apparently the virus respects those boundaries, and a Unitary Authority is somehow above National Government. Not sure how that works.

I revisited my dressmaking over the years and made lots of masks from off-cuts. They're all triple layer and I wear them once and wash them. And then I iron them.

AQ - BW Blue Star for the ironing! Mine are too elastic-y to do that, but it will certainly kill any remaining virus. That's also why I miss ironing tea towels...
