Comments: Today I'm wondering five things:

Well the good news is that we have no proof that the towel rail is damaged.

The bad news is that its because it didn't turn up, despite an email confirming that it was out for delivery.

4th attempt tomorrow...hopefully

LOL, I don't think you're having a go at me for paper masks, BW, from your comment last post. It's a fair question and worthy of discussion. Being paper I would assume they are biodegradable, at least more than cloth. And while I can't attest to the litter problem as you described here and over at my place, people* are generally uncaring pigs. And the numbers from almost everywhere seem to prove it. Is it only masks overfilling the bins or on the sides of the roads?

(*No offense to 'people,' just the litterbugs.) ;)

1. I like Andy Burnham but I'm not sure that he would have done any better than Ed Milliband (who I also like) or the twat Jeremy Corbin.
2. Most probably not Johnson still has unbelievably good ratings considering to me he appears to be the worst PM in living memory. Incompetent, dishonest AND corrupt.
3. Lots of second home owners from London coming down here too and we're still low. In general they do keep to themselves with groceries delivered after they arrive and when they go out they do seem to take more care than many do.
4. Not just Coronavirus on those masks either. They really should be separated as essentially clinical waste IMHO.
5. No. Sorry.

Scoakat - My understanding is that many 'paper' disposable masks, like many teabags, have lots of invisible plastic. Plus no elastic is not quickly degradeable (many years ago, I put a pair of old cotton knickers in the compost heap to see how long cotton took to break down: answer, about a year, and all that was left was the elastic - still springy and totally intact).

NiC - 3. Interesting. Like you, Mr BW also reckons people travel with all they need for the weekends, or have it delivered on arrival.

4. Most people just don't understand microbiology, or disease transmission, do they?

5. They now seem to have lost the replacement too... Ordered last Thursday on an overnight delivery, and still not here, or with any chance of getting here anytime soon.

1. I wanted Alan Johnson.
2. I absolutely detest both BJ and JC. I can't even remember the name of the independent candidate I voted for. Nic is absolutely right as BJ has always been a dishonest corrupt twat.
3.No idea.
4. Absolutely disgusting and the stupidity & ignorance of our throwaway society.
5.Could Mr BW make one up?

I feel a post coming on about how society / state / politics has changed and people haven't yet cottoned on to it apart from a few people. Perhaps how this links the current crisis, abuse of planetary resources and pollution plus eradication of flora and fauna worldwide. A traffic queue, BBC radio 3 news and HS2 brought my thoughts down a very strange path this morning!
