Comments: Rabbiting on

Aha, rabbit fencing...I was going to mention that as a better solution than shooting when you mentioned it over at Scokat's (?). We put a night vison camera up in a non-fenced area to get an idea of how many there were eating some dahlias outside the fences.....It was plague-like....lots of little beady eyes.
It's not hard to put in rabbit proof fencing though, I'm sure Mr.Witchy could do it...though it does take a fair bit of time and I expect you're wanting it all in place ready to start growing seriously so can see the appeal of getting someone to do it for you. As well as four flower farm growing areas we have a vegetable area and three different garden sections rabbit proofed. The only one they've got into is one that a badger used to visit...badgers are much harder to keep out. I'm just redoing the proofing there as I don't think the badger comes anymore so should be possible to keep the rabbits out of that bit too.

We're still looking forward to the pics from 18/12/2020 ;)
To answer your question in the last paragraph, I'd sit down until someone else sorted it out!

NiC - I think I had a nightmare about your beady-eyed rabbits last night! You're right, Mr BW could do it, but the ground is amazingly stoney and the new fence needs to be stock (sheep and cow) proof as well as rabbit proof. Mr BW has already stapled chicken wire to the bottom of the existing fence, but that is fairly rotten. There are so many local little fencing blokes that it will be chaper to employ one of them than to buy the materials and do it ourselves. Plus, The Black Familiar seems to have polished off Large Bunny and Little Bunny in our absence. All we have seen since we last returned from down south is a hare.

Tim - yes, it worked, the kitchen magically tidied itself yesterday afternoon (and Mr BW can't possibly have even read this post then), and the kitchen manufacturer is due out tomorrow afternoon with a view to finally getting the new kitchen, just a year on. And as for the lemon drizzle cake pictures...
