re Cookie Links - I think the most annoying thing on these is exactly as you say - why do I *keep* having to re-state my preference? I've said it once, save it in, you know, a cookie, and stop bloody asking me.

There are at least a couple of reasons for what you are experiencing re cookies.
First, every website has to record your preferences; one can't "inherit" your preferences from another.
Second, some people have their web browser set to delete all cookies when the session is ended, and so the choice previously made goes with it.
If you don't care about cookies and routinely accept them, there are a number of browser extensions / plugins which will automatically accept them for you!

Regarding Matron Boris, I couldn't care less how much he spends on his interior decorating. I do care, however, when he knowingly lies to Parliament and the country. He does not care, because he has a stonking majority and few - if any - morals, and will get away with whatever he likes. And the current fuss will die down. And he'll still be there, doing what it takes to stay in power at any cost.

Absolutely spot on BW!

I listen to BBC Radio3 mainly as I increasingly prefer classical and jazz saving my choice in other music for spotify. I stopped listening to there BBC channels some years back when they eradicated some folk, jazz and rock programmes in favour of more bland yoof rubbish.
I don't care if people say I am grumpy because I point to the lowered standards and lowest common denominator of most programmes spewed out.

But, Tim, surely the closer we get to May 6th, the more the Blues will suffer in the local and county elections?

Thinking People can already see that the whole present situation in this country is built on lies, so nothing surprises me, other than how many people can't/won't see it.

I think much of the problem is the apparent lack of thinking people.

Or at least the lack of people who think other than, 'Now, what can I get away with next?'

Agreed with the amazing apparent lack of Thinking People. I wouldn't put it past the PM to pass a law allowing him to stay in office as long as he wished, au Putin. They've already said they are going to get rid of the fixed-length Parliamentary terms, so that they can call an election when it suits.
