Comments: Look! Grasses have stalks!

I had such a revelation three years ago when I had my first cataract operation. Having worn glasses and then contact lenses since I was 7, and my eyesight was so bad I couldn't even make out the big letter at the top, to suddenly next morning (albeit only out of one eye at that point) be able to see perfectly without any intervention was truly miraculous.

I had a similar revelation a couple of years ago, but auditory rather than visual. I hadn't realized what I hadn't been able to hear without practically invisible assistance. Amazing!

My sister has always had poor eyesight and now, macular degeneration and recently diagnosed glaucoma and cataracts. When the md was diagnosed, her optician recommended a vitamin supplement and then the hospital suggested another. She was told that she could take both, has done so and the md hasn't progressed in four years. I've started taking one of them - though my eyes are fine, I hope they'll stay that way.
