Comments: Day 19: Sin Bin

Kit-Kats....yuck, that alone would be a hanging offence round here. And aren't Blue Ribband cheapo choc bars you buy for kids thinking they won't know any better?

Probably NiC - the amount they spend on junk food in a week (mostly bought in convenience stores or garages on the way in I suspect, judging by other packaging that does make its way into a bin) could buy them some decent, nutritious food.

The news earlier this week was wittering on about less well off people being unable to afford fruit and vegetables and GPs being able to prescribe same in future (a tiny part of the long-awaited Dimbleby Report). You can buy an awful lot of fruit and veg in Aldi or Lidl for the price of a additive-filled ready meal, or indeed a packet of fags.

Add up all each one spends on takewaway snacks, and spend it in a supermarket and they could make themselves really good food to bring with them. But that would take a few minutes and a bit of planning... too much effort I guess.
