Comments: Dear Builders,

Your 'Dear Builders' part was my day. Oh, the details differ greatly, but the sentiments are exactly the same. I'm tired, aren't you?

Yes, Scoakat, I am.

Nearly 7 weeks of this and I have definitely gone back into the state of hypervigilance that I was in the week Mr BW was down south a couple of weeks ago (which started when the idiot scaffolder put the main support on the disintegrating concrete coal bunkers).

Unlike most hypervigilance though, mine is soundly based: if I don't stay on top of things, then we'll get new window openings cut in the wrong places, doors built into the blockwork incorrectly, or drainage or soil pipes in the wrong places. And things like that can't be recovered so will result in bodged-in visible solutions that will annoy me forever, every single time I look at them. Foreseeing and pre-empting such things takes a huge amount of mental energy, and the ability to get in where they are working to see what is going on without being obvious and annoying them.

Plus, I have to ensure that all the things we are sourcing are here in time, correct, and suitable. And that I don't let any of the complex financial things being done to pay for all this drop, or any of the things involved in running two houses, without being able to get to the second one currently.

Actually, just writing that down helps me see why I am so tired, so thank you!

I am sorry you've caught the BW Disaster Bug though...

Somehow, I think the words "And lastly, Dear Builders" are inappropriate (in possibly more than one way!!).
