Comments: Mis-ordering

They don't answer the phone and when they do they hang up.

Claiming this as relevant - the latest piece of work I'm editing for someone informed me that "the World Bank had a huge paradigm shit..." Once I'd managed to stop tittering, I added a note suggesting an "f" might be useful :-)

Anyone noticed the total lack of branches anywhere other than city centres?

Yes, an ATM is good, specially if it doesn't charge you to use it. But sometimes you Really Need to speak with a Real Person. & that's not just cos I'm mid-60s.
Online/on phone just doesn't work for some things. Even when you can get their attention.

Early in my computing career I mistyped my own name in front of my collected co-workers, so John Maltby came out as Joho Matlby.
I've been known as Joho ever since.

It's been very useful, there are loads of Johns, but only ever one Joho.
I also worked for a global computer company, and Joho proved to be a globally unique userid.

I later discovered that in Japanese joho means information. Neat.

It's proved very handy. In a global computer company full of Johns it turned out to be a unique userid.

I'm currently at war with utility companies rather than banks. But service in general has fallen below the floorboards, I fear.

Not only banks. 8 out of 10 visits to our local Boots is a standout of rudeness.

I nearly always get always wrong - "alwasy".

I'm forever getting it wrong but I blame the pressure at work. I can't use that excuse at home though...

Yes, banks no longer see us as customers but instead regard us as numbers, nuisances, milch cows for money.

I think my biggest mistakes are typing thought/though, or and/an. An extra letter to form a different word than I mean, and I just typed And to start this sentence, before correcting myself!

Your 'account' makes me think 'acoconut' until I think about it more.
