Comments: Windows and fleece questions

We had a panel that spontaneously shattered a few months ago. It was replaced, the replacement sparkled, and even the one next to it was cleaned as well to match, all without any intervention from us. I certainly agree with you.

Certainly all our replacement windows were cleaned to walk into cleanliness.....not doing so is bizarre.

I wish our dahlias would get frosted...still blooming and I'd really like to start digging them up. I am going to dig a few up as a trial but have previously found that a good frost on the above ground growth helps put them to sleep. Damp is probably a bigger problem than cold so if you've dried them well (but not too much!) then I think in vermiculite is an excellent option. We wrap some in newspaper and then banana boxes in the garage and the larger ones go in wood chippings in specially built storage in one our most sheltered sheds.
