Comments: Transporting the past to the future

Yes, lots of nondescript white vans or hire vans used around Lincolnshire. I get the 'occasional' parcel from evil bay and lots of anonymous white vans or Royal Mail deliveries.
Sue accuses me of being too attached to stuff and she's right. I am loathe to let go of things but I eventually do get rid of the unnecessary stuff.

Would the local history centre be interested?

Alas, sentimentality is the enemy of decluttering!

My document solution (I think I've mentioned it before) is to scan to searchable PDF and then shred pretty much anything on paper. That has the dual benefits of saving space and being easily searchable. I can also access such documents from anywhere. All my old photographs have been scanned, and provide a desktop background on my PC that randomly changes every 30 seconds.

Round here in Norfolk there are also lots of unidentifiable delivery vehicles, driven by unidentifiable drivers. Royal Mail and DHL don't use them, though.

If I had 2 archive assistants, I might have managed it Tim... I'm photographing and shredding.

No local history centre Debster... County Records Office no longer takes personal artefacts.
