If it melts by lunchtime as it did yesterday, New Cleaner BW will come over, if not, it's Tuesday. Ah well, it made us clear up and find homes for things that had been lying around and mounting up (Mr BW is excellent at that, me, not so much).
Our problem is, we now have so much stuff up here that does not have a home, because its home is in the large pieces of furniture that can only come north once Coven Sud has sold.
Plus, when things come north bit by bit, they get put in places that are less than ideal, creating chaos when more of the same sort of thing cannot fit in with the initial supply.

it's cold here but it sounds like it is way colder in Coven Nord. Keep warm and with a new cleaner a gradual return to normality for you both.

I don't know how you stand a cold house like that. We definitely spoil ourselves here, but have much less square footage to heat.
An elevator at home - love it!
Good luck with the cleaner, I hope she is good and also trustworthy.
This Friday, - thick coat, woolly hat, mittens, jumpers beneath. I was warm after the 1 mile walk to Pilates. The mat needed warming up! Again today.
Yay south-facing windows.
You will be settled, one day. Hope new Cleaner BW is up to the job.

A lift, if I ever couldn't manage stairs, has occurred to me too, although if I were really in that state, living here alone wouldn't be at all sensible. I agree that it's more useful than a stair lift, if there's room for it.
Not surprised you're exhausted, it's all a huge challenge and you've done amazingly with your projects. I hope you can sell your house quickly, once the time comes. The market is buoyant at present.
