At 9.10pm last night we were asleep when the estate farm manager rang - he now remembers that he knows of a second leak that is outside of his estate supply that he has known about for a month but not reported to those who could fix it, thinking they'd notice it themselves.

I am so *so* sick of people who can't even do the basics of the job they're paid for.
Basic competence seems to be one of those things that is no longer required for anything.

It astonishes me how often one hears of this, work not completed on time or shoddy workmanship. So frustrating.
I'm with you on the losing interest in the wider world. I just can't be bothered dealing with idiots, idealogues and the clueless anymore.
