Comments: Time passages

I've never understood the mindset of being early to be the first in the queue. To spend 20 minutes to be "first" only ensures you waste 20 minutes queueing. Whereas turning up 10 minutes after the advertised time should mean being able to get straight in without messing around. Never knew this was because I was brought up northern.

Ha, my point is proven Caroline :)

Nothing like this opens at the advertised time - it opens when customers arrive!

First come first served... the early bird catches the worm...

Dad always insisted we arrive either right on the dot or five minutes early. Might leave home earlier in case the location didn’t have much parking. Mom said that to show up late was disrespectful to the hosts. Her sister’s family always arrived 30 minutes late🤣
Your bank interaction sounds very irritating.

There's a lot of surprising geography about. I was bemused to find that Norwich is north of Leicester.
I avoid "chat" help like the plague, for similar reasons - it takes forever, and mostly doesn't give you the information you wanted in the first place.

Yeah, I thought you'd like that one Lyle :)
I often think that we could/should write a book on customer disservice... but I'm not sure anyone reads books any more.

Ah, the ever 'helpful' on-line chat service...

I always arrive early especially for any bargains.
