Comments: Pop Ups

Ditto!

Pop ups, adverts, useless information or the latest gimmick. Spot on with JCC. I saw him perform live twice many years ago and for me a revelation at that time.

I saw JCC play at Friars in Aylesbury back in...erm... probably the late 70s, and again in a smoky dive in north London in the early 80s. Under-rated genius.

JCC is playing quite locally in the autumn. I got pre-notification of ticket sales (as I am on JCC's mailing list) and, when I clicked through out of interest, I could have got seats A8 and A9. Sadly I decided that my days of gig going are over (plus I'm normally asleep before the time the performance even starts...).

I heard a brilliant programme (a few years old now I'd guess) with JCC on R4Extra a few weeks ago. Well worth a listen if you can find it.

I'll see if I can find that BW, thanks.

Yes, my gig going days are over as well for the same reason.

It was Chain Reaction, from 2011, 2 programmes. Re-broadcast in April.

Have a look at wired. co. uk / article / cookie-popup-blocker-gdpr

Thanks Tim. It amused me that the first thing that happened when I went onto that site was a cookie pop-up...

However, I am left wondering which is best? Do you use one?

I use Consent-O-matic (Chrome browser). You need to have Preferences & Functionality cookies enabled, otherwise life gets impossible. Their own popup is merely the result of the legal requirement (which IMHO is bonkers!).

Thanks Tim, I shall play with this when Mr BW returns and can sort things out if it all goes wrong!

He uses Chrome so can use that, but what do you think would be best for Firefox? (NB 'use a different browser' is not an option!)

There is a Firefox version too!

I only accept cookies if they have LOTS of chocolate in them!
