Caroline - thanks, now corrected! Seems it's not just the day of the week I now don't know but also the month...

What are you going to do with your time once you have finished the house?
Posted by Debster on 31 August, 2023 at 9:54 PM
Dunno Debster, any ideas?
Posted by Blue Witch on 31 August, 2023 at 9:56 PM
There's always the internet ...

Is a house ever really finished? Once the big house project is settled there will be smaller projects, and all that outside area to consider. Perhaps a labyrinth out back?

Debster
Mildred is waiting patiently...
The forge is going rusty...
My wood carving project started in 2020 and not touched in 3 years is turning to stone.
BW has a similar list of things in stasis.
Plenty to do

Peninsula! Didn’t realise that is what they’re called! Ha, it took me a minute!
Hope all going well today, nice weekend for it.

Hi, BW! I loved getting to see your quilty things in the Aug. 5th post. I hope the kitchen refit is going well.

I have faith in Mr BW completing it all. As one is moderately incompetent at DIY I do admire those who are skilled at it.
As an aside, I joined 'The Dull Men's' group on fb and I have never laughed so much in ages. Sheds feature a lot as does DIY, good, bad and indifferent.

Buffy - how lovely to 'see' you again! How are things with you? Are you still quilting? I miss your blog.

delcatto/verity - today Mr BW has added 'plastering' to his skill list. We still had a hole in the kitchen wall/ceiling from where the emergency metal beam had to go in last year. The hole has been covered in black plastic (so out of sight out of mind), as we couldn't stand the thought of the mess a plasterer would make in the kitchen at the end of last year when the new bit was plastered. So, Mr BW watched a few YouTube videos and away he went. That wall now actually looks better than many others in the house (none of which are terrible). And much much less mess!

Well done Mr BW, another skill to market if ever you get bored 😉. House is going to look wonderful and you can have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve done most of it on your own

I'm so pleased to note that we're not the only household with a drinks fridge full of necessary bottles!
Posted by Tim W. on 3 September, 2023 at 3:09 PM
*whispers* we actually have 2 Tim :)
But only because the first had a faulty thermostat and it was May 2020, and the supplier got the manufacturer to send a replacement because their repair men weren't working, and then they didn't want the other one back. The one that only 'cools' tather than 'chills' comes into service next month when the apples come off the trees. A perfect store!
