Comments: Aftermath

Sounds similar to what we had a few weeks ago.
Interestingly, No.1 son home early from work today with symptoms similar to your description.

Sounds like elder daughter’s Covid, in September. Deep joy.

Repeatedly testing negative though... unless newer strains aren't picked up by the existing tests?

I'm sorry you've been so ill, that's rotten. Hope you'll be fully recovered soon.

Re avian flu, there's plenty of it about in the wild bird population but, as you say, there has been no instruction about domestic poultry. I'm assuming that there haven't been any outbreaks on farms and that's what would trigger an edict. Mine have got good-sized outdoor runs, one of which would be acceptable for chicken lockdown and, though I'd love to let them be completely free, I just can't take the anxiety any more.

I hope you're feeling better by now. HNY to you both!

Both I and The Man tested negative repeatedly during the same period where eldest daughter tested positive, and we had exactly the same symptoms. I've never had much faith in the tests, to be honest, since our first round of COVID, where eldest again had textbook symptoms for the original version of it only to test negative five times with the lateral flows before testing positive the same day with a PCS. *shrug*
