Comments: Another storm, another power cut

A bit blowy but not as bad as Henk. The lid of the bin blew open.

Map of highest gusts from Storm Isha:
http://starlingsroost.ddns.net/weather/ukobs/custommaxgust_map.php?startdate=2024-01-21&starttime=12:00&enddate=2024-01-22&endtime=11:00&min_gust=40&max_alt=300&unit=mph

So probably 70-something, maybe 80-something.

We escaped fairly lightly; my wife said that there was much more impact at the start of the storm 5 miles down the road when she was finishing work. Just one slate lost from the barn, and in the process of replacing it, I found an imac I could have sworn I looked everywhere for last year

Scrolling across the regional suppliers website yesterday was the line, "We are experiencing gusts up to 99mph in our area".

Supplier officially cleared the fault (tree on overhead line) at 00:37. More high winds forecast this afternoon.

You've got a Borrower in your barn Ian. It's often working around here too.

It was slightly more windy here than usual, but nothing like a gale. Didn't realize that your hen protection was electric!

Unfortunately I can't remember what I wanted the elusive iMac for now
