I went to the tennis yesterday and the knob throwing festival today. I'm going to have to mow the lawn on a Sunday due to weather tomorrow.

Ah Dorset Knobs. Moore's biscuits. I delivered locally stone-ground flour to them in Morcombelake soooo many times in the early 80s.
Weather here is set to improve tomorrow. Middle of July... 14 degrees at 2pm? Nooooo....

That does look like a Common Orchid although I admit I liked it up on-line.

We have now learnt that wild orchids can hybridise, so it might not be either!
I'd like to know the name of the deep pink rose climbing up the tree in the picture - it's the exact colour of American Pillar Rose, but not the habit. The owner couldn't recall the name, but knew it wasn't APR.
