It's delightful. I've no idea about it, but have sent screenshots (just of the plate, not your writing, of course) to a more knowledgeable friend, to see if he might know. If he doesn't, I know someone else to ask, but not his email so will have to find that out.

Did you do that by reverse Google image lookup (or whatever it is called, I've never used it) Ian?
If it is 250 years old, and the strings are still all perfect, it must be worth more than $10! Not that I care about that, it's just that I might not take it outside for afternoon tea if it is rare!
