Is it a Ferrari? That's the only horsey one I can think of.

Random guess: Fiat!
Or maybe a VW for BW?
I'll show myself out..

Debster - correct country; no idea where the horsey bit came from except that my Dad always used to say Zebras were horses in stripey pyjames (ony I'd forgotten that until just now).
Scoakat - half correct, only actually, strangely, almost totally correct, but on a related theme.

I'm tempted to say a Mini, but then the clues don't work.
Hmmm Lamborghini? I can't think of any other Italian cars.

Very well done Lyle. The cheaper one of the two, having been discontinued by the manufacturer in September. All the stock left has been pre-registered and is very heavily discounted.
So now, there are clues as to the model... and the colour...

Oh - there are no longer any non-automatic Minis made.
And Debster... Lamborghinis and Ferraris? Me?

If it's Abarth, I'd have to assume it's a 595 Turismo.
Colour? Well, bearing in mind the Zebra comment, White exterior, black interior. For some reason I can't imagine you'd go for the orange one...
I wouldn't pay Arbath prices for a car like that...!!! And I'd be scared to drive something that quick these days, especially with the idiotic driving in the NE.
It's a Fiat 500, end of range (forever) manual petrol/mild hybrid, they were discontinued in September and all cars left in the country were pre-registered for very heavily discounted cf RRP quick sales. Make an offer even on these unbelievable prices and they bite your hand off! Get a price for a PX and then say, "Well, I was hoping for four or five hundred more than that..." and they play a bit of a salesman's game and then say eventually say yes. In short, it cost about the same as my (then high-spec) 1.6 C3 did 11 years ago.
You're nearly there with the colouring, just missed one clue... the Lucy Jordan one.

Ah, fair enough. I know you wouldn't pay Abarth prices, but you *did* say you'd got a good deal, so the option was always there!
I didn't know the song at all (I know, I'm a lout) but can only find reference to a white car in the lyrics, so I'll stick with that. :-)
I know, I know. pick me miss...

Posted by Lyle on 5 December, 2024 at 5:59 PMThe 'at the age of 37' chorus line... yeah, this desire has been around for a while!
I loved my motorcyling years, but now can have (nearly) the same open air experience in a car, which is safer at my current age!
