Back at Coven Sud we had a neighbour who was very proud of his new BMW which he announced was painted 'Sahara Beige'. He was a little crestfallen when I described it as mud brown.

Strangely I’ve been wearing a little brown this past month, no idea why this rainbow loving moggie went boring. Who knew. I promise it’s only a little though. Thanks for the card BW it’s much appreciated. Stay safe you two. We’ve battened down tonight .

My first car was brown. It was an old Rover 2000 TC and was given to me after I had passed my test. Lovely car, horrible colour.
Lots of crashing and banging outside with the winds picking up and we’re supposedly on the sheltered side! Stay safe BW.

My first two cars were brown, actually. A 74 Ford Galaxy 500 that was embarrassingly rusted out though I had no shame then, and a 77 Pontiac Catalina. The first was quick and cheap so I could move out of the house asap, the second was the old family car when my parents bought new. At the time, cheaper was better than anything else for me.
Good luck weathering the storm, everyone.

Hmmm. Just a little darker than Farrow & Ball's "Elephant's Breath". Who decides things of the year?

Tim: probably someone with an overstock of brown paint nearing the end of its use by date.

Tim - I know the answer to this one! I've added a link to explain. The first link in the post.
Dulux do 'Elephants Breath' too. There were mouldering cans in an old shed when we moved here, including one of that. Why it is brown when ellies are grey I have no idea.

My secondary school uniform was brown. Not a rich dark chocolate brown which wouldn't have been too bad. But a mid-range sh*tty brown. Paired with cream and (the only saving grace) bright cherry red.
I haven't been able to wear brown since.

My school uniform was navy blue and BW blue. If it had been brown I wouldn't have gone to that school!
