Comments: The current score

Ah. Our conservatory roof replacement went flawlessly, including the Veluxes. We are heartily satisfied with the result.
I'm currently experiencing the various touch points of UK medical care. The GP surgery hasn't been bad, but I took it upon myself to see a cardiologist privately and wish I had done so sooner. After the initial consultation he has transferred me to his hospital clinic.

Sorry to hear about the medical problems and hopefully resolved soon. Yes, I would use private if we had the money. Sue’s had ongoing health issues but touch wood, she’s currently ok.

That beggars belief about the gate and measuring the conservatory roof and fitting the velux windows.

Tim - having lived in the south up until 5 years ago and always having had the benefit of private medical insurance through Mr BW's work, we really hadn't realised/considered the paucity of private medical care in the NE - most NHS Consultants seem not to do private work, unlike in the South. Frustrating though it may be, this is actually how it should be - if you have a full-time Consultant postion in the NHS then it should be exactly that, full time.. Hope your issues go on OK.

delcatto - just the latest in a long long line of Workmen Fails. Fighting the NHS systems is almost worse than the ailments themselves, isn't it? It must be doubly bad for someone like you who spent their working life working for the system. Why oh why is it so bad now?
