"It's amazing how quickly you age, and start to feel you are ageing, once you get past 60."
I could not agree more!!

You have done very well to get everything finished. We moved to a relatively simple "project" in our late 60's - it was too late. Early 70's now and we're worn out!

Tim - it's shocked me, to be honest.

Bobtail - Thanks. Mid 50s is as late as I'd recommend leaving it to move for a major project: and then it's in the lap of the gods/universe as to whether it gets finished before something unexpected crops up. Recent medical events/investigtions have made me feel very fragile and provided a completely different perspective.

How the government thinks people will be able to work to 67/68/70 etc etc in the future I have absolutely no idea.

Regarding once over sixty, I most definitely feel it these days.

I am a fan of older gentle comedies and watch Last of the Summer Wine avidly…is it a documentary and guidance for us oldies? Lol. If you haven’t seen it I can recommend ‘Detectorists’ which wonderfully gentle and subtle comedy wise.

delcatto - My hairdresser put me onto The Detectorists soon after we moved north, and we did enjoy it. Not least because it was filmed around where we used to live.

And then we saw the yellow TR7 being sold on one of the car auction shows. It made £30,200!

It was inspired casting for Toby Jones to then play Mr Bates in 'Mr Bates v The Post Office'.
