Looks like a beautiful space. I'm envious. I know you can't wait until you can enjoy the finished property with no more workers. I'll be over next summer.. ;)
You'll love it. But I would have drawn the line at a plasterer coming at 07:00 on any day, let alone Sunday!

Scoakat - I'm not sure that The Orange One will allow you to leave the US by then!
Tim - round here one is just grateful that workmen are prepared to come at all! If we said no to this, who knows when he might next have a free day. It was supposed to have been finished by end of Friday, then the plasterer had to come Saturday and then that got knocked onto Sunday.
The bloke in charge of the roof construction and I both reckon there aren't enough sheets of insulated plasterboard for the ceiling to complete the job (it's all worked out by computer), and there is no hope of finding anywhere to get some more on a Sunday that isn't at least a 60 mile round trip away.
So, we will see whether the plastering actually gets finished tomorrow - the room has a floor area over 20 square metres, and is a P shape, with 2 Veluxes, so very complicated angles to construct and then plaster.
Given that Mr BW is away from Monday lunchtime for a week, and that I am not supervising workmen on my own, and the carpet is being laid on 22nd, time is already tight for everything Mr BW needs to get done before then (skirting boards, windowsills, painting, repairing stonework on the exposed wall, sealing gaps, levelling the floor, doing the ceiling light etc etc).

It looks lovely. South facing? Lots of light and even on bad weather days ideal for cloud watching.

delcatto - yes, south facing, hence the need to replace the 19 year old dirty and blown-panel glass windows and roof with new windows and an insulated solid roof. It is already obvious that it is a good idea - not so hot in the day, or so cold at night. As the Gate Man (who has finally fixed the gate problem - we hope) said, it now looks like part of the house, rather than a built-on blob.
