I find that I have the most issues of the kind you describe with service industries rather than suppliers of things. Utilities and banks spring to mind!

Agree a 100%! I do think there's a mindshift on the way though, as more and more people are focusing on quality over quantity.
Maybe some day we'll start valuing honest work and meeting (exceeding) expectations again :-)
