I think you're right about the end of the world as we know it.
Banks and other financial institutions with staff who lie...good luck with sorting that out as they are lower than snakes several hundred feet beneath the earth.

delcatto - it's not if we'll get compensation, it's just how much. Now, if only I knew how to work out a formula for loss of interest for 2 years, plus then the compound interest over say 30 years, I would be happy...

Compound interest calculator says that the total loss of interest over 2 years (£200) including compounding over say 30 years is £650.
