Re F5: sometimes there is a FnLk (usually near the lefthand shift key) which changes the F keys into their Windows functionality from their laptop functionality.

Thanks Tim, the Fn key plus F5 works to refresh the page. I hadn't tried that.

Those round prongs and holes that laptops used are equally susceptible to wearing out. My barely-four-year-old Dell doesn't charge any more unless I hold the plug in as tight as possible. (Repairability? What's that?)

It's all a matter of quality...

Anon - these days all quality is pretty much the same - dreadful, built to last 2 days after the guarantee runs out.

I maintain that the round charging ports are stronger than USB C charging ports though, and they are certainly much easier for anyone with any kind of manual dexterity issues to use.

I recommend Irfanview. It's very old; some of the hot keys don't align with. Windows language. For example cropping: drag a rectangle with the mouse, then Ctrl and y (for yes I suppose). Free. Much simpler than picture editors, but it will do enough for a blog or simple website.
