Comments: Autumnal

I'm guessing it's something to do with sunshine? Yes it's warm and I still haven't put the heating on.

No - we had that one down south (and it is continuing and growing in that area) - and not wind either. Worse, much worse.

We put the heating on on 22nd October (largely because Mr BW was away the week after and I am incapable of managing technology), but it's barely been on since as it's temperature controlled.

The carrots are growing legs ready to march forth in all their glory. Orange army.

It’s been warm and wet here but the heating has been on at times because of Sue’s horrible cold and what I now suspect is my arthritis. It doesn’t like the cold and especially the damp weather.

My theory is that carrots bifurcate when the growing root hits a stone.
Shop carrots are grown in sand to avoid this.
