We went to DDs for lunch and present opening, both grandsons came home for the occasion. Went home mid morning . DH has been fettling one of his motorbikes and I’ve been spinning,knitting and working in my art journal.

We normally try to get away for Christmas, but this year we were at home. I attempted an omelette Arnold Bennett for breakfast, which was mostly successful, albeit somewhat untidy. We had a goose for our main meal. I reviewed several recipes, which all contradicted one another regarding cooking time. In the end, the meat thermometer saved the day. Now we have enough goose fat for many roast potatoes!
