Hurrah, you're alive. Was just about to send in the sniffer dogs. Downhill to Christmas from tomorrow!

I looked at this post and immediately thought it was a haiku. But it isn't. Nevertheless, the thoughts are reciprocated.
As I read somewhere else, the only ones now getting happier by the day are vampires!

For the record, it was properly 'dark' between 23:20 and 03:20. DAMHIK.

I am amazed that anyone would keep checking here - but thank you. Do you all have RSS?

At the risk of repetition, nice to see you back. Hope you're both well.

Dave - having known you IRL for over 20 years, trust me, you do not have ADHD and OCD dear. The other one I am definitely not qualified to diagnose ;)

As the mobile library man said to me the other day, years ago many people strove to have a BSc, BA, BEng or BEd after their names, now they think that ASD or ADHD are the things to have.

I was recently asked to complete a survey by my professional association and one of the questions was, to paraphrase, "Do you over-diagnose conditions such as ADHD and ASD because you feel pressure from clients or their carers to do so?" The blurb accompanying the survey pointed out that several studies have already suggested that 10% to 50% of children or adults assessed may not actually meet the strict threshold for the condition, and that their symptoms are better explained by other environmental or mental health factors (including stress, trauma and social media). The thinking seems to be that shared symptomology between ASD and other disorders, coupled with heightened awareness and public de-stigmatization of ASD and with the availability of ASD-specific services that are not accessible to children diagnosed with other conditions, might lead clinicians to over-diagnose ASD.

Knowing of several people who (claim to) have been recently diagnosed, I would totally concur with the over-diagnosis concerns.

But I do have a dirty habit, darling. And I occasionally create drama.

A Bank manifestly being stupid.
No, I don't have RSS, but I regularly check your website!

RSS took a day to notice so it's not foolproof but it does eventually work :)
