I was at Chieveley services and tried photographing through sunglasses but it was rubbish. Nice sunset but then the road from Yeovil to Dorchester was closed and I had to hack through Ryme Intrinsica and Yetminster to get home.

Here in Morella, Spain, the sky was cloudless for the total eclipse. Even though I'd seen one before (Mexico, 2024) it was absolutely spectacular. What made this particular one unique was that the sun was still in obvious partial eclipse as it set over the horizon, easily viewable with the naked eye.
Our celebratory concert is this evening.
